Filling in the method and madness behind Ed Egerdahl’s Norsk-Engelsk Kryssord Puzzles

Those who’ve been solving the crosswords a long time know a few tricks. First, look for a two-letter blank. In pencil, go ahead and write in the letters E and D. Now check the clue.
